Basic Function of the Position
Incumbent is administrative assistant to the Management Officer (MO). S/he manages the day-to-day running of the Management Office. Provides key support to the Management Officer in the planning, organization, and administration of Management to facilitate an efficient operation, and provides back-up support to the Consul General’s Office Management Specialist.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

1. Required Education: Two years of college is required.
2. Required Experience: A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in administrative management or related field.
3. Language Requirements: Level IV fluency in English is required.
4. Knowledge/Other criteria: Must possess a thorough knowledge of state Department regulations and mission policies and have the ability to regularly research answers to myriad questions. Must have a good working knowledge of Consulate procedures, other offices and their mission within the consulate. Must possess a thorough knowledge of standard office procedures.
5. Other Skills: Typing Level 2. Must have practical ability to utilize the Microsoft Office Word and Excel applications. Must have the ability to plan work independently and prioritize issues appropriately. Must be able to manage several duties consecutively and have excellent interpersonal skills.
SELECTION PROCESS

2. Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
